Abstract:
The paper presents the organization and legal framework of gold mining in the Apuseni Mountains in the Middle Ages. At that time, the miners enjoyed a series of privileges granted by the Transylvanian voievodes or Hungarian kings. Mining technology refers to tools and installations intended to transport ore and sterile in the galleries, water evacuation, ventilation of workplaces and grinding the auriferous ore.
